Insurance Program Highlights
Biohazard cleanup contractors are eligible for this specialty insurance program:
- Demonstrated and qualified industry experience
- Industry recognized training, designations, or certifications
- Operate within EPA, OSHA, DOT, and CDC guidelines
- Environmental records maintained according to local, state, and federal regulations
- Majority of operations must entail biohazard cleanup
Ineligible operations include:
- Demolition
- Drug labs / Bomb making
- Majority property repairs – no renovations
- More than 25% subcontracted work
- Water damage
Our specialty insurance program offers biohazard mitigation contractors the following:
- General Liability on an Occurrence Basis available up to $1,000,000 occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate
- Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions) on an Occurrence Basis that provides Property Damage to personal property in the insured’s care, custody, and control and real property upon which you are performing operations (included to policy limits)
- Pollution Liability at the jobsite (included to policy limits)
- Pollution Liability for autos operated by the insured (included to policy limits)
- Products/Completed Operations
- Employment Practices Liability
- Property
- Crime
- Inland Marine
- Contractors Equipment including personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Computers used for record keeping
- Materials and supplies at the jobsite
- Leased, loaned, or rented equipment

Liability Coverage may include:
- Limits up to $1 million per occurrence/$3 million aggregate
- Professional Liability
- Premises and Completed Operations
- Employees as Additional Insureds
- Employment Practices Liability (claims-made coverage)
- Fire Legal Liability – $100,000 (higher limits available)
- Medical Expenses – $5,000
- Personal and Advertising Injury
- Newly acquired organization – 90 days
- Employee benefits (claims-made coverage)
- Property Entrustment – $100,000 or $250,000 ($1,000 deductible)
